I had a fairly easy pregnancy with Abe.
Yes, I was terribly morning sick from weeks 5-15, and I lost 7 pounds.
But I didn’t have to spend my day by the toilet, or go to the hospital to have fluids pumped into me because I was dehydrated.
And yes, I had backaches, and headaches, and pain in my pelvis, and was just all around uncomfortable for the majority of my pregnancy…
But I didn’t have to use crutches, or take medication, or go on bedrest.
That said, here are some of my must-haves from pregnancy.
I was thirsty ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant.
Having a cup I could take with me everywhere I went really helped me to quench my thirst and stay hydrated. I think
I drank more water while I was pregnant than I had in my previous 24 years of life.

2) Pillows.
I don’t care if you have a pregnancy pillow (I had a Snoogle Mini), or if you just use regular pillows, but you will want them. When I wasn’t using my Snoogle, I had a regular pillow under my head, under my belly, behind my back, and between my legs.
My poor husband was relegated to a tiny portion of our queen sized bed.

3) Maternity leggings.
I bought myself some fleece lined maternity leggings from Ross when I was about 20 weeks along. (I was pregnant in the winter, hence
the fleece lining.) They were my saving grace. No matter how comfortable your maternity jeans are – these are better. I lived in them.

4) Maxi skirts.
I am so grateful that the maxi skirt craze was happening while I was pregnant. As my belly grew, so did my waistline, and that meant
that I couldn’t fit into most of my skirts anymore. Most maxi skirts have a fold-over waistband that comfortably fit a growing belly.

6) Snacks.
Of course each pregnant woman has a different taste, so what worked for me might not work for you. But I loved saltines, mints, and smoothies in the first trimester. The second and third trimesters I went on a Greek yogurt kick and
tried nearly every kind Walmart has to offer.

No matter what snacks you like, I would highly recommend getting some kind that are easily portable so you can keep
something in your stomach at all times.

Do you have anything to add? What was a must-have for you in your pregnancy?
