It’s been a while since I’ve hooked up with Jana and Maegen for The Creative Closet. {You can find my previous posts HERE.} But this was originally the post I was supposed to be a co-host for (I ended up switching prompt days) and so I knew I still had to link-up!

I haven’t been the biggest fan of the color blocked trend. Some shirts are super cute, but over all, I was unimpressed. Until I saw this shirt. But to be honest, it still wasn’t love at first sight. I saw it, tried it on, decided it wasn’t for me, and put it back. Two weeks later, after not being able to forget about it, I went back to the store with my dad and he bought it for me for my birthday.

I love this shirt. It’s cool and loose and can be dressed up and down. I was able to wear this before becoming pregnant, during the first couple of trimesters, and now postpartum. It’s like a magic shirt.

Yesterday we went for a family hike down by Liberty Lake. I knew we’d be doing some hiking, but still wanted to feel “cute”, so I threw on this shirt with some black workout capris and away we went. And it was perfect.

And of course I had a cute little helper.

And a handsome big helper.
