Fave Finds {#2}

When I first started this blog I meant to do a “fave finds” post at least once a month… Sadly, here we are in October, and this will only be my second one. But oh well! I’m still excited to share with you some of my recent favorites. These types of posts are one of my favorites around the blog world, so I hope you like them, too. It’s always nice to get recommendations from real people, and not just anonymous reviews online.

1 // Maybelline 14 hour Lipstick in Continuous Cranberry
I had a coupon for a lip color from Maybelline, and wanted to branch out and get a lipstick instead of a  lip gloss. I also tried to pick a brighter color than I usually would — I’m drawn to pretty pale pinks that blend in with my natural lip color. I chose this one and I absolutely love it! It’s bright but not neon and is just the right pop of color. It doesn’t actually stay on for 14 hours — but that doesn’t bother me. It’s a matte finish, and I usually will put a swipe of clear gloss on top, since I like a bit more of the glossy look.

2 // Pixi Redness Reducing Primer
I finally hopped on the band wagon to try to wear primer under my foundation, and so far, I love it! I chose to get the redness reducing kind since I have a pretty red face, and it does a great job at evening out my skin tone. I’d love to hear if you have other suggestions of primers for me to try, though!

3 // NYX Makeup Setting Spray Matte Finish
This stuff is magic. I think I heard about it from Jana and I really wanted to try it. One spray of this stuff over your  make up and it will stay on all day, and you won’t even feel like you have make up on! Seriously. This stuff is my new BFF.

4 // Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer in 15 Fair
Like the primer, I knew I needed to find a good concealer, since I hadn’t really used one before. This one came recommended to me by a few people and it hasn’t disappointed me yet. To be fair though, I use it pretty sparingly, and I’m not prone to big break outs, so I can’t honestly tell you it will work great for that type of cover up.

Have you tried any new make up lately? Have any to recommend for me? I’m all ears!
