I always enjoy what other products bloggers are using, and I thought it’d be fun to share my own. Today I’ll share with you what lotions, serums, etc I am currently using on my face and body, and maybe another day I’ll share my shower routine and the products I use in there, as well.
Face
As soon as I get out of the shower I’ll spread a few drops of Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum on my face and let dry (see my review here). Then I’ll use Neutrogena’s new Hydro Boost Water Gel to moisturize. I recently started using the water gel after receiving it from Influenster to test and review, and I really like it so far! It costs more than I usually like to spend though, so I’m unsure if I’ll be purchasing it in the future.
Body
I have super dry skin, That being said, smelly lotions from Bath and Body Works and the like never work for me because they are not hydrating at all. I also don’t like breaking the bank on lotion. I’ve finally found a lotion that leaves me feeling moisturized and hydrated longer than any other lotion I’ve ever tried, and that’s the Equate Absolute Moisture Dry Skin Lotion. Yes, that’s the Walmart brand, and it’s supposed to compare to Vaseline. I’m a cheap skate, so I try the generic brand first 🙂 And luckily, it worked great for me. I slather that stuff on after I shower and I’m good to go. (PS, does anyone else hate putting on lotion?)
Other Favorites
I thought I’d share with you a couple of my other favorite products that I’m not currently using right now, but that I would still recommend! One is Olay’s Beauty Lotion. I have been using this stuff for years (my mom used it while I was growing up) and I love it. Although to be honest, I generally buy the generic brand to save a few bucks. …. Actually, I guess that’s the only one! I can’t think of any other products I love and would recommend!
As you can see, I am definitely a minimalist when it comes to beauty products and routines, but I think it’s best that way. I can’t be bothered with the time (or spending the money!) so I keep it simple, simple, simple.
