Weekend Getaway | Seattle with the PNW Bloggers

As I mentioned in my last post, the first day of our trip was spent in Seattle. We arrived in the city about 2 pm, and after getting Abe and Kyle all situated in the line for the Space Needle, I hopped on the monorail over to Pike Place to meet with the other lovely ladies for a food tour. I highly recommend looking into doing a food tour of Pike Place if you’re ever visiting Seattle! Tell Michael the PNW gals sent ya 😉 We did the tour of Pike Place but their company also offers other food tours around Seattle as well. It’s well worth the money, just be prepared to be so full after! We had a dinner reservation following the tour and we could hardly eat anything we ordered, we were already so stuffed!

I thought that I’d just highlight my 4 favorite parts of the day, since you don’t really need a play-by-play of the action. That’s just boring to all who read, isn’t it? 

1|| Meeting the gals. Of course! That was the whole reason this shindig was planned! I’ve been reading Kelly and Jenn’s blogs for quite some time, so it was fun to meet them.

2|| The food. For serious. We tried so many delicious foods — some new, and some not — such as samosas, tacos, gelato, greek yogurt, smoked salmon, salmon burgers, pickles, truffle oils and salts, and clam chowder. So good. I’ve been craving samosas every since.

3|| Kelly’s selfie-stick. I have to tell you, I’ve always loved Kelly’s blog and thought we’d get along well in real life. And we did. Kelly is my kind of girl through and through. Within 15 minutes of meeting, I was able to make snarky comments to her and she’d reply back with some as well. Love that. Love her. And I love her selfie stick. 


4|| Running into celebrities. Kelly is a big country music fan, and her, Jessica and Jennifer had plans to go to the Canaan Smith and Dan + Shay concert that night after our tour and dinner. And wouldn’t ya know… We ran into all 3 of those guys while on our tour and at dinner!

Funny story, while Kelly, Jessica and Jennifer were chatting it up with… one of them… This one came over to me and Jenn (who had no idea who these guys were and said, “don’t you want a selfie?”. So, a selfie we took!

And here you have it! I was so glad I was able to have such a fun afternoon with some fellow bloggers, eat good food, and meet some celebrities! All in all, a wildly successful meet up 🙂
