Life is a journey, with ups and downs and twists and turns. In my short 26 years I’ve experienced my fair share of those ups and downs and I know there are more to come. For me, my faith in my Heavenly Father and my Savior are what get me through those hard times, and what inspires me during the good ones. My faith drives my actions and decisions, and I am thankful every day for the knowledge I have of Christ and His teachings, for that faith I have in Him.
Max Lucado’s book Let The Journey Begin is filled with scripture, quotes and words of wisdom to help you on your journey, no matter what part of the path you may be on. I love that this book covers a wide range of topics — grace, anger, the purpose of life, how to communicate with God, etc. Max reminds us that God is always with us, in every step, and with His help we can become the person He intends for us to be, and we can create a brilliant future for ourselves.
This time of year is filled with new beginnings what with graduations and commencements. I think this book would be perfect as a gift to those about set out on a new journey, be it college, a new job, marriage, or for those that may be lost and wondering which path to take. So many don’t have the knowledge that we have, or may have forgotten that they used to know, so it’s up to us to share it.
I find so much comfort in the fact that God knows all. We do not, but He does.
So, with faith in God, and the knowledge that God is with you, let your journey begin — He has so much in store for you.
