I’ve always been a bit of a bag lady. No, not that kind 😉 By bag lady I mean I’ve always loved purses and totes. They are probably one of my favorite accessories. And I have a soft spot for leather ones. They are just so classy and put together and go with literally everything. When I got pregnant with Abe, I knew I didn’t want just a “regular” diaper bag. I wanted a bag I would want to carry. One I loved and that would go with all my outfits. Sadly, I never really found or received one like that, so I just kind of rotated through a couple I didn’t care for until Abe got old enough that he didn’t need me to carry too many things, and I switched back to one of my purses. (You can see a semi-recent what’s in my bag vlog here.)
Diaper Bag: c/o Lily Jade – Elizabeth Bag in Brandy/Gold |
But I knew with baby #2 coming, I would really need a diaper bag I loved, especially since I was going to have 2 kiddos in diapers for a while. And so when Lily Jade agreed to send me one of their AMAZING bags, I about fell out of my chair. This bag is what all other bags should aspire to be like. It is the holy grail of bags. Even though I don’t need to pack that much with me right now, I still switched my things over right away, because I love it so much. And there is still plenty of space to add in all the things baby girl will need when she arrives, and I’ll write up another post about all that, once that time comes!
One of my favorite features of this bag is that in converts into a backpack for when you need both hands free. And anyone with multiple kiddos (or even one active toddler!) knows how helpful that is. Kyle and I took Abe to the park last night, and it was great to just be able to throw my bag on my back while playing with him.
My go-to carry is the messenger strap. It’s easiest for me to just grab it and throw it over my shoulder when I’m running out the door. And guys, I haven’t even begun to tell you about the amazingness that is the baby bag organizer. So.Many.Pockets. Which is perfect for an organizational freak like me 🙂 I’m not showing you the inside of the bag today, but once baby girl gets here, I’ll do a post about how I pack for both her and Abe, and it will feature the inside of the bag, so just hold on for that.
36 weeks pregnant doesn’t look better than this, folks. |
But until then… Here’s what I’m carrying in my diaper bag. Again, Abe doesn’t need a lot right now, so it’s pretty sparse. But once baby girl gets here, this thing is going to be FULL UP. Babies and their stuff, amiright?
