Guys. It’s December. As in the last month of 2015. As in Christmas is a mere 23 days away. I think this has been the fastest year of my life! I’ve loved this year, and I’m excited to see what 2016 brings for our family. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves! First, December, Christmas, family time and all of my favorite things (except warm weather). WISHING | that this week goes well (I’m writing this on Monday morning). I guess I should say I’m “hoping” that this week goes well. It’s going to be my first solo week with two kiddos while Kyle goes back to work full-time, so we’ll see how it goes, and hope only a few tears are shed 🙂
REMEMBERING | the past few holiday seasons. Two Decembers ago I was about 22 weeks pregnat, and K and I went on a mini-vacay to Anaheim! It was so fun, and I can’t wait to go back. And last Christmas Abe was 9 months old, and didn’t really understand presents, trees, etc. This year he’s a bit older (obviously) and while he won’t understand everything I think he’ll have a lot more fun this year.
WRAPPING | nothing quite yet, although most presents are bought or ordered already! The wrapping will start here in a week or two, though, and I’m excited to do that — but I’m even more excited for all of our recipients to open the presents!
BAKING | these delicious cookies from Casual Claire! Friday night I’m headed to a girls night, and those are the treats I’m taking. I haven’t made them in forever, but I saw the recipe this week on Claire’s blog and thought, perfect! YUM!
DECORATING | our house for Christmas! We put up the tree on Sunday, and it looks great. Although this is going to be an interesting year for it since Abe has already taken a handful of ornaments off the tree, and tried to eat the lights and destroy the ribbon while we were setting it up… I have a feeling the next few years we’re going to be sparse on decor around here, simply because of toddlers. Ah, well. What can you do? PS, do you like our new couches??? I love them!
