The older I get, the more I enjoy reading Christian books, both non-fiction and fiction. That’s one reason I love to be a part of the Family Christian Bloggers group. I get to review books and broaden my horizons. This book, A Reason To Stay, is the most recent I’ve read, and I enjoyed it. It’s fiction, and tells the story of Faith, a TV anchor and talk show host, who grew up in a dyfunctional family, and has worked hard for her success. Faith meets Geary, a small-town Christian man from a loving and close family. Once they get married their background differences come to haunt them, and it’s only due to an accident that their marriage gets a second chance.
This book was sweet. It didn’t necessarily have any huge twists or big reveals, but I enjoyed the writing and getting to know the characters. If anyone is looking for a Christian fiction read that deals with trials, self-discovery, and forgiveness, give this book a try! I’m looking forward to reading more from Kellie Coates Gilbert.
