As mothers, we all want the best for our little ones. I think that’s only natural. And there’s plenty to find “the best” of. Food, milk, clothing, diapers, wipes… The list is endless. And really, how can we really know what is best? We can’t. We can’t know what’s best for that mom or that baby or that family, which is what the mommy wars would have us believe. Everyone has their best. But we can’t (and shouldn’t!) force our best on someone else.
I am, however, all about sharing advice if asked for and if applicable to the situation. That’s why I love sharing product reviews and our own family’s likes and dislikes here on the blog. I’m putting my best out there, to share it with you, but if it ends up not being your best, that’s ok! What works for us might not work for you. And again, that’s ok.
And I’ll admit, I’m not the most picky mom when it comes to “the best”. I formula feed (gasp!) which might be very much the worst to some moms. And I don’t feed my family all organic food (I’m killing them slowly, aren’t I?))<—- that was sarcasm) and I definitely do let my ids have screen time. And I don’t feel guilty about it. And neither should you. We’re all doing the best we can, and we shouldn’t fault other people for that.
And let’s be honest, when it comes to “best” it usually is synonymous with “expensive,” and we are not rolling in the dough over here (and I would be neither are most of you)! Most cheaper products are comparable to their more expensive counterparts. But then again, some things are worth spending more money on. One thing I’ll spend money on every so often is a pack or two of WaterWipes. WaterWipes are a chemical free baby wipe, with only pure Irish water and grapefruit seed extract in them. I love keeping a pack on hand for when Eliza has a diaper rash, because I feel like they are safer and more gentle than regular baby wipes when she is hurting.
You can find WaterWipes at a variety of local stores, including Walgreens! We often use Walgreens to print photo gifts and prints, and I love that I can just pick up WaterWipes when I’m there, if I need to.
Do you want to try out some WaterWipes? Do you frequent Walgreens? If so, you’ll love this giveaway. You could be one of five winners to win a $100 Walgreens giftcard. You can enter now through October 7th, using the widget below. Good luck! (I-C will randomly select winners from all program entries and will facilitate fulfillment of the winning prizes (5 winners).)
