The older I get, the more I realize that I’m not going to be young forever. I know that’s kind of a “duh” thing, but think about it! When you’re in high school, you feel like you will never grow up, and then you get to college, and you think you’re invincible. Most college kids I know don’t focus on taking care of themselves, they focus on partying and having fun with their friends, and, oh yeah, maybe their grades. Unless you’re a student athlete or majoring in some form of exercise science, health is probably the last item on your radar.
But then you really do grow up. And you realize that maybe your metabolism isn’t quite what it used to be. And maybe you get out of breath a little easier than you used to. And then you get married and have kids, and realize, if I don’t make some changes I might miss out on some aspects of my children’s childhood. And that can be kind of a sobering thought.
Anyway, all that is an intro into saying that I have been thinking more and more about my health, and how to be the best I can be. I’m growing older, there’s no stopping that, but there are definite measures I can take and habits I can create in order to be the healthiest I can be, to achieve my optimal health. One such measure I’m taking is starting to take probiotics, to help with my digestive health. I’m currently using Nature Made® Probiotics since Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories*. In addition, Nature Made® Probiotics: Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.†
I don’t know about you — but my digestive system needs all the help it can get! Probably has something to do with all the junk food I ate in high school and college…. (and last week…). TMI alert, but I’ve dealt with different stomach issues since I was a young child, and I love that by taking Nature Made® Probiotics I can help alleviate that.
Nature Made® offers a variety of minerals, vitamins and supplements, not just probiotics! There is something for everyone, from Women’s Health, to Energy Metabolism, and more! And in 3 weeks I’ll be sharing with you some of the vitamins and supplements I’ve been adding in to my daily routine as well, as another way to achieve optimal health. Nature Made® vitamins and supplements: An easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†
As with everything else, I picked up my Nature Made® Probiotics as my local Walmart SuperCenter. They’re right near the Pharmacy, with all the vitamins and supplements. Walmart has everyday low prices on Nature Made® products, so it’s easy to stop by and grab some when I’m running low.
When I’m taking care of my body, I’m taking care of not only my physical health, but my mental health as well. Being physically fit means that I can focus my mind on other areas of my life (like my kids and husband) without worrying about if I’ll be able to keep up with the demands of day to day life. I’m definitely a work in progress, but I love the progress I’m making!
