The world can be kind of a scary and hard place these days. So much has changed even in just the almost 10 years that I’ve been graduated from high school. The internet is everywhere, you can get a smart phone for cheap and have so much (good and bad) at your fingertips, and I can only imagine how confusing that is for teenagers these days. There are more and more moral issues coming into play, more emphasis in being accepting but also standing up for what you believe in… It’s confusing, even for the most mature and knowledgeable among us. And, also, let’s face it. Life is just hard. It just is sometimes.
This new compilations of short essays, You’ve Got This, is a fabulous resource for the teens in our life. With advice from Al Fox Carraway, Whitney Wilcox, Dallas Lloyd and more, they (and you) will be able to see how the trials we go through help make us into who we are meant to be, and how, with the Lord’s help, we can make it through anything.
While this is written for teens, I enjoyed reading through it, so you might, too. I definitely recommend picking it up as a Christmas gift for your sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, or brother and sisters.
Because even though the world is a scary, hard place to be — you’ve got this.
