Christmas 2016

We had a fun trip down to Utah for Christmas, and really enjoyed spending time with our family. I cracked open my computer once, and hardly spent any time on my phone and social media, and it was so, so refreshing. I also didn’t get the camera out too much, oops! But I’ll share the few I did take below.

Christmas 2016

We drove down on Friday, and spent the next few days with my mom and sister. We enjoyed eating a lot of delicious food, and watching fun Christmas movies. On Christmas Day we went to my mom’s church, and enjoyed a music-filled meeting. Abe was really into unwrapping presents this year, for really the first time, and it was so fun to watch him! This year was a solid win as far as presents go for him: fire trucks, a wooden train set, a play kitchen, and some other trucks were definite highlights for him. Eliza enjoyed the play kitchen, too. I have already been enjoying my new vacuum and Instant Pot, and got a few fun other things, too. I surprised Kyle with the game Ticket To Ride, and he also received a new quesadilla maker from my mom (ours broke earlier this year and he was devastated ha!).

Christmas 2016

We drove to Kyle’s parents’ house on Christmas afternoon, and spent the rest of the week there. Kyle took Abe sledding one day, I got to go on a little Ikea shopping trip with my SIL, we spent more time with family, walked around Temple Square to look at the lights, and Kyle and I even snuck away to see Rogue One (spoiler: I LOVED IT.)

Christmas 2016

Now it’s Friday afternoon, and I’m putting off doing the million loads of laundry I have to do by writing this post. I also developed another eye infection during the break, so I’m off to the doctor’s office in a couple of hours. Yay me! 😉 I have a lot of fun things I’m planning on sharing next week, so check back then. But until then — Happy New Year!
