A Coffee Date | Vol. 5

A Coffee Date

Wow, friends. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shown up in this space, but I’ve had a lot on my mind, and I wanted to take the opportunity to share some of that with you. I really, truly love to connect with you, to become friends, to inspire you like a lot of you inspire me. So, let’s get on with today’s post, and please share any thoughts below! 🙂

If we were on a coffee date, I’d chat about how fast this summer is winding down. Really, this whole year has been flying by – life just goes by so fast the older you get. I’m pretty sure I say that like every other post, but it’s so true, and I don’t think it’s anything that I’ll be getting “used to” any time soon. But back to the summer ending — I’m excited. I’m excited because I feel like the summer is always a little less scheduled, and while it’s nice to have the extra flexibility, I really thrive on a schedule, and I think my kids (most kids, in fact) do, too. Abe and Eliza’s music class starts next week, and I’m looking forward to that getting us back on the scheduling train.

If we were on a coffee date, I’d tell you that I’m ready to hop back on the fitness & healthy living train, again, for real. I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately, and weighing pros and cons of doing different things, and I think I have a routine I want to begin figured out. I’m going to check out a couple of gyms in my area, hopefully sign up, and then get my booty going! I always want to be better at eating healthier, and am looking into intermittent fasting.

If we were on a coffee date, I’d tell you that blogging is a weird thing. It’s more than a hobby, sometimes, especially when you’re working with brands and getting paid. And sometime I just feel a little burnt out, you know? I always have so many ideas, but I haven’t been able to quite find the energy to actually write and take photos for a whole post. I’m hoping with getting on a schedule (like I mentioned above) I’ll get back into a routine and find the time and energy to write more posts again!

If we were on a coffee date, I’d share my testimony with you. It has been affirmed to me over and over and over lately that God loves me. And not only that, He knows me, and wants the best for me. And I know it’s true for you, too. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and we are His children, and He loves us. I hope you know that.

Well, that’s all I have for today. My messy kitchen is calling me 🙂 Thanks for visiting with me today, I hope we can chat again soon! Come link up with us, if you’d like. We’d love to have you.
