Well, I know we’re halfway through July, so let’s GBOMB June really quick, shall we?
GOOD
We had a pretty busy June! My in-law’s visited for a few days, and the next week my mom was here for about a week and half. My sweet friend threw me a baby shower, we celebrated Father’s Day, I went to book club, we enjoyed dinner and dessert with some friends, and we met up with my brother-in-law’s family while they camped out south of our town.
I healed well, and my mental state is awesome. Life is really just great right now.
BAD
I honestly can’t think of anything bad! I spent a lot of June making sure my body recovered well from childbirth, and of course adjusting to our new life with 3 kids, which brought with it some crazy days, but over all, nothing bad. Hallelujah!
ON MY BRAIN
I’ve been trying to get back into the habit of daily scripture reading, whether that’s diving into an actual book of scripture, reading a devotional, or reading a conference talk or Ensign article. One devotional I’ve been using is Always Enough, Never Too Much by Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan. It’s really been helping me in this time of transition and sort of figuring out where I fit back into the world. You can enter to win your own copy at the end of this post! It’s raw, and real, and inspiring, and I love it.
I’ve been reading a lot and am so glad that I’m back in that groove.
Really not much has been on my brain! Just trying to keep my kids alive and my house in some semblance of order 😉 I love that I’m myself again though, and I’ve been trying out different routines in my head, and trying to get back into the groove of healthy living and exercise. I’m basically giving myself some grace to get through the fourth trimester and figure out what is working for us, and then trying to implement/head back into a routine come the end of August. We’ll see what happens!
