I received a Bellefit corset to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

As y’all know by now, I’ve had one c-section delivery and two vaginal deliveries. Each of them has been very different in all ways, especially recovery-wise. One thing I wanted to try after my first 2 deliveries was an abdominal binder of some sort, but I was never able to purchase one.

This past delivery I still wanted to try one, and when Bellefit reached out to me, I was thrilled! I received a Bellefit corset about one month after Jonah was born and really enjoyed trying it out! Like I said, I hadn’t tried anything like this with either of my other recoveries, and so it was so fun to have this time around.

You can read more about it here, but the corset supports your belly and back, and helps strengthen your core. It really is so supportive, and felt great on.

I’ve also been wearing it as I’ve been recovering from having my gallbladder taken out, and again, the support it gives is unreal! My back was so sore at first, but then I remembered I could try my corset and it helped reduce my back pain by a lot.

If you are wanting to try one out, I would definitely recommend it! But I would make sure to get it before you deliver, so you can start to wear it first thing. It would have been so nice to have the support it offers as I was beginning my recovery, plus when you are newly recovering, you wear a lot more flowy clothing items (robes, dresses, etc) and the corset (in my opinion) works best under those articles of clothing. I didn’t love wearing it under jeans, shorts, etc., and since I started with mine a little later in the recovery game, I was already back into those articles of clothing at least a few days a week.

Again, it was really great to try, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to do so! If you’re in the market for some sort of postpartum abdominal binder, I highly suggest checking out Bellefit and seeing if one of their corset options is right for you.
