2019 Goals

2019

I’ve posted before, and I’m sure I’ll post again about how my overarching goals are, year after year, basically the same. There are certain aspects of life that I am continually focusing on, that are my main priority, and year after year I strive to become just a little better. And I personally see nothing wrong with that. For example I’m continually focusing on my relationship with my husband and kids, and my relationship with Christ and my Heavenly Father. I’m constantly trying to improve as a homemaker, and as a friend, and to better myself physically. I’m definitely not perfect (no one is!) but progress, not perfection, is the goal here.

Also, let’s have a moment of truth here. I sucked at doing PowerSheets last year. I think I filled out all of 3 months worth. Between depression and new baby life, it just didn’t happen and I didn’t make them a priority. I ended up deciding that I would re-use my 2018 set for 2019 (go me being financially responsible!) and still haven’t cracked them open. Oops. Putting that on my to-do list now. But as I just mentioned, things will look very similar as last year, anyway. But I do want to start using them again for a little “umph” in my monthly progress.

ANYWAY. Aside from the broad goals I’ve mentioned a thousand times already in this post, here are my few new, actual, measurable goals for 2019.

  1. Go ONE YEAR without spending money on clothes. (Exceptions are if I am gifted money or giftcards.)
  2. Complete the Triathamom (and actually train for it this year). (And possibly do another 5K or 10K.)
  3. Stay on top of the Come, Follow Me curriculum. (My church studies a new topic each year in Sunday School, and this year it is the New Testament — plus the leaders have put out a new way of studying and teaching, so it’s new all over and I’m stoked to start!)

Yep, that’s pretty much it. Just a few things I really want to commit to doing, and if I do them well, a lot of the other aspects in my life I want to focus on will fall into place a little bit easier. And I’ll still be working on other areas of my life, too.

I”m excited for 2019, and I feel like it’s gonna be a GREAT year. I hope the same for you!
