Have I mentioned before how I love spending money, but I also love saving money? Ha, yes, I know I have. So today I wanted to share with you 3 of my favorite ways to save money, because I think a lot of you are in the same boat as us – a middle class family who has to stick to a budget 🙂
Meal Plan
I would venture a guess that groceries are what eat up a bunch of your budget, am I right? It’s so easy to see something you think you need and throw it in your cart. You do that a few times, and hen you get to the check stand and are mystified how your grocery bill is that much. It’s happened to me, and I’m pretty sure it’s happened to you. Meal planning and creating a grocery list centered around your plan can help cut back on those extra purchases so much. I’m planning on doing a full post about my meal planning routine soon, but until then, just know that it can save you money.
Get Rid Of Cable
Do people still pay for cable? I’m not honestly not sure. We got rid of cable 4 years ago, and have never looked back. Instead, we pay $8 a month for Netflix, and we’re currently paying $25Â a month for SlingTV (we generally only pay for SlingTV for football season, holla!). You can find pretty much any show you need on those two things (I know some people pay for Hulu, too, if you want to stay up-to-date on current shows.) Either way, you can save a bunch of money by getting rid of cable, and paying a minimal amount for shows or channels you do want to watch.
Utilize Groupon Goods
I wrote a little bit about Groupon Coupons last week, and how I was new to checking them out, but I am no stranger to Groupon Goods! I have used Groupon Goods many a time, especially when it comes to buying gifts for others. Kyle’s wallet is from there, and my favorite maxi skirt is, as well! You can find almost anything on Groupon Goods, so you should definitely check it out when you’re looking for something.
So there you go! 3 of my favorite ways to save money. I hope you found them useful! Drop me your money saving tips below! I’m always looking for more ways to save 🙂
