For the past few years the LDS church has released different campaigns for the Christmas and Easter seasons in an effort to share Christ and the Gospel with those around the world. Previously I’ve written about #Hallelujah and #ASaviorIsBorn, but there have been other campaigns such as #HeLives and #BecauseOfHim.
This holiday season, the campaign’s slogan is #LIGHTtheWORLD, which is focused on serving as Christ did and does, and sharing our (His) light for all to see. The Church has put together an advent calendar of sorts to use as you serve in a different capacity each day, emulating Christ in your service. Prompts such as “Jesus Fed The Hungry and So Can You” and “Jesus Ministered to Children and So Can You” help provide suggestions of how you can serve like Christ in the days leading up to Christmas.
I encourage you all to join in at least a few days as we #LIGHTtheWORLD this holiday season.
PS, I’m hoping to get back into sharing more aspects of the LDS church through my LDS Faith and Beliefs series with you next year. It’s something I truly love to share, as my testimony is truly one of my most cherished possessions, and I’m so glad that my blog acts as a platform for me to share my beliefs.
